
Doha Bank secures naming rights of QSL starting from 2025–26 season
The Qatar Stars League (QSL) has officially announced a major rebranding ahead of the 2025–26 season. Under a new sponsorship agreement, the league will be known as the Doha Bank Stars League for the next three seasons, replacing Ooredoo as the title sponsor. The announcement also included the unveiling of a new visual identity and logo, inspired by the championship shield.
This strategic partnership marks a significant commercial and image shift for Qatari football, aligning with the league’s continued growth and modernization. The new branding aims to reflect both the legacy and evolving stature of the domestic competition, which has seen rising international attention in recent years.
Speaking on the occasion of the rebranding, His Excellency Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, President of Qatar Stars League, said: “The announcement of the new visual identity and logo of the league comes as part of our ongoing preparations for the launch of our football season, We thank Doha Bank for its continued support and look forward to continuing our partnership.”
Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Fahad bin Faisal Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Doha Bank Group, stated: “The Doha Bank Stars League is a new step in the bank’s ongoing support for Qatar sports in general and football in particular, It comes in close co-operation with the Qatar Stars League to achieve our goals of developing national sports activities as per the highest international standards.”
The 2025–26 season is scheduled to kick off on August 14, with two opening-day fixtures: Al Rayyan vs. Al Sailiya and Al Shamal vs. Al Ahli. Defending champions Al Sadd will begin their campaign on August 16 against Qatar SC.
